Innovation in Education Academies
We are a group of Muslims in Leeds who have seen the need for a Muslim School in Leeds. With a population of over 22,000 Muslims living in Leeds, parents should have a choice of where they want to send their children for an education.
Seeing the need, this project is managed by Mr Mohammed Ali (PhD 2019-2022) with a group of people and a network of organisations to help make this into a reality inshaAllah.
We are applying for a Free School, namely ‘Jinnah Academy’ which will be a designated Muslim Faith mix (boys and girls) High school for children. The school will be run by Innovation in Education Academies (IEA).
We will submit our application to the central government by the end of this year 2019 to set up this Academy which will be a Muslim Faith Academy but anyone regardless of race, religion or gender will be able to apply for a place for their children. If our proposal is accepted we endeavour to open the school by 2021/2022.
