وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ “And cooperate in righteousness and piety.”

(Al-Qur’an: 5:2)

خَيْرُ النَّاسِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ “The best of men is the most beneficent of them to others.”

(Hadith narrated by Abdullah b. Umr, reported by Tabrani)

Islam teaches us that, as human beings, it is our duty to consider the welfare of all mankind. This is a basic duty that transcends race, colour, beliefs, gender or faith.

We at JA will be playing an active role in enhancing social cohesion and promoting civic responsibility. Citizenship is part of our student development which emphasises the importance of civic responsibility, charity and social action. We will develop a community programme aimed at promoting community service and mutual understanding amongst students and parents. We aim to work towards making the world around us a better place to live.

All learners at Jinnah Academy will complete community service projects. They undertake around 500 hours of community service during their time at the school. They also establish and manage social enterprises and charities autonomously, as part of the school’s curriculum.

It is our belief and commitment that we should play our part in the community we live and through our activities and those of our students and their families, the community and which we are based and those further a field, should become stronger and more cohesive
